He has choreographed for artists including J-Hope of BTS, Stray Kids, TXT, SEVENTEEN, NCT U, RIIZE, BOYNEXTDOOR, Jay Park, TWS, Omarion, Juice WRLD, and E-40. Born and raised in Sacramento, CA, Wren studied Theatre and Dance at Sacramento State University and continues to develop a movement style rooted in groove, texture, and isolation. Having found a deep love for hip hop culture and music he developed his skills in freestyle and choreography from the Sacramento dance scene. Matt has performed in collegiate dance competitions as well as national television. With a background in popping, he has been a dance educator and choreographer since 2014. After training with his high school dance team, Soul Purpose, for 3 years, and graduating high school in 2019, he joined Black Flag to inspire others to create fearlessly. The approach behind his movement and personal style is more philosophical rather than technical, focusing on “flow” and allowing the music to lead movement.
